SR20. Could be anything under that tomato sauce

I never get chicken parm, but when I do, I don’t.

Too late on the front end. I can snap another pic for you when it comes out the back end later, if you really want.

Chicken parm is the barometer of an Italian restaurant.

Hmm, so if the chicken parm is rising...?

It needs to be cooked more.

What abomination is this? Are we in a Greek restaurant?
Pasta with marinara and maybe a side salad. Bolognese if you’ve got it. Maybe a side of polpette or a little sausage. If somebody offers you rice pilaf , you walk the fuck out.

I use lasagna for that, lots of ways to cut corners there.

It was okay. Not spectacular, but not the worst lunch ever. At least the chicken was tender enough, not dry, and the parm was real. The corn and p otatoes were seasoned reasonably well. It suffered a little bit from being on the tail end of the lunch sitting, but not too bad.

Any time there is so mething parm it’s gonna be a good lun ch. I would have been too busy giving that other stuff on the plate the screwface to eat it though. Not that any of it looks bad, but I’d be damned if I were goinna dilute that delicious parm flavor with decidedly non parm foodstuffs,

I can’t imagine a worse measure of an Italian restaurant than a ridiculous fast-food caricature of Italian cuisine invented by 20th-century Americans whose grandparents might have come from Italy.
The more I think about this the angrier it makes me. Like judging a sushi restaurant on their California roll.

Fair enough. There were other veggies available too, but I didn’t go for those. I got my green contribution from the Andes mint at the counter.

The only thing that will prove is whether or not you ate the corn!

I prefer my parm between two pieces of bread. Subway back in the day had a sandwich called the chicken pizziola, which was basically a chicken parm with pepperoni. It was fantastic.

True.

I love a good chicken parm sandwich. The bread is pretty important. I like a fresh Italian loaf.

A good soft bread to soak up the sauce and stick to the cheese is perfect.
![]() 10/16/2019 at 17:39 |

Yes, that’s why it needs to be fresh for this sandwich and not toasted for this application.

There’s a distinct lack of cheese on that parm, it’s criminal. They need to smother the chicken, not sprinkle on 20 cents worth of cheese.
![]() 10/16/2019 at 17:51 |

That’s fair, and it needs to be melted properly.

That looks absolutely foul.

Yeah, thanks for taking time out of your day to click on here and shit on my lunch.

Shitting on that plate would be an improvement.

Listen, just because you're in Jersey doesn't mean shitting on a plate is an improvement everywhere else. When you're outside of Jersey you do NOT shit on plates to improve them.

I like mine fried in breadcrumbs, topped with bechamel sauce and grated mixed cheese.
Sometimes topped further with doner kebab meat.
